In this forward-thinking and challenging role, you’re going to be driving high impact business transformation and ensuring we can sustain the change that’s needed to meet Shell IT’s strategic goals.
Working across the entire Shell organization, you’ll be part of our large and still growing in-house Transformation Change capability. Either leading or being part of IT-driven programmes and projects, you constantly engage with business and IT leaders and project managers daily to drive the change agenda and help deliver value to the Shell business.
What’s the role
As Transformational Change Manager or Consultant, you’ll be a pivotal part of the team that’s driving and delivering change management plans that are measurable, with clear business outcomes. Equipping Shell IT with the skills to better manage and sustain change.
Results oriented with a keen commercial focus, your ability to think independently and objectively will really make the difference here. Along with your flair for communication – you’ll relish the chance to nurture relationships with a range of stakeholders, with the kind of confidence that can easily challenge current practices and manage resistance.
More additional responsibilities will include:
• Working with colleagues to build the Transformational Change capability.
• Running one or more change workstreams for IT Programme and Project Managers.
• Helping to create an environment where members feel motivated, engaged, and able to grow and develop in their roles.
• Working collaboratively with peers leading change across other areas of Shell’s business.
Requirements
What we need from you
First and foremost, we're looking for someone who's shown they can deliver technology-driven change and technology adoption. Knowledgeable in change management methods and their application, you’re confident conducting detailed change impact assessments and working with business colleagues to drive and sustain change – even where there’s high ambiguity. You’ll also need an understanding of Agile and its impact on the management of change.
In addition, we’re looking for the right personal skills: you’re a natural relationship-builder and accomplished communicator, both in writing and in person – someone who’s shown they can cultivate fruitful stakeholder relationships at different organisational levels. Beyond these, we’re keen to speak with those with as many of the following on your CV:
• Skilled in change management methods and their application, with an emphasis on driving measurable business results.
• An understanding of the consequences of IT management and IT delivery.
• Experience of running change workstream(s) within IT delivery projects.
• An ability to contribute to a specialism development team within the transformational change practice.
• Knowledge of delivering technology-led change and managing technology adoption.
• Skilled in Agile IT project delivery.
